Superfoods
Some foods have so many beneficial properties that they are considered Superfoods. They are all-natural, rich in nutrients and antioxidants, strengthen the immune system, and therefore help you stay healthy.
Some of these Superfoods are:
Avocado: It’s very beneficial because of its high content of healthy fats that help regulate cholesterol. It also provides minerals, vitamins, and fiber.
Black Garlic: This Superfood has antimicrobial, antifungal, and antioxidant properties, strengthens the immune system and regulates blood pressure, among other benefits.
Celery Root: It’s rich in vitamins A and C, in minerals such as potassium and calcium, and it’s also rich in fiber.
Chia Seeds: They are rich in Omega 3 and 6, fiber, minerals, and antioxidants. They help regulate blood pressure and cholesterol.
Ginger: A powerful antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic. It’s rich in vitamins B and C, and minerals such as calcium and phosphorus. Ginger promotes proper blood circulation, which helps prevent heart disease. It also strengthens the immune system.
Green Tea: Antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antiviral. It delays aging and helps regulate cholesterol levels; prevents infections and heart disease, among other benefits.
Olive Oil: It has antibacterial properties, improves intestinal health, lowers cholesterol, and strengthens the immune system.
Quinoa: Rich in proteins, but also in B-complex vitamins and vitamin E, and minerals such as iron, phosphorus, and calcium. It’s also an important source of fiber.
